Yes food is great but expensive
They have peas and rice
I recently went to this restaurant, and ordered their oxtails. TERRIBLE! The oxtails were so tough and unseasoned. Every bite was like chewing on old hard gum. No all spice, no thyme, no bay leaves. No NOTHING. I’m use to Jamaican food where not only can you see your spices but you can taste them. Store bought gravy taste better than theirs. If you go here just get the burger special. Burger and fries for like 4 bucks. Never had a good experience here just eating their “Jamaican” food.
Dnt have real pepper sauce using a starbucks jar. No real hot sauce.
We loved it #truckinmadefun
Great food and super nice staff ! I would recommend this place to anyone wanting good food and relaxed atmosphere.
Little Jamaican restaurant I had the goat dinner and it was actually the bony goat dinner! NO GOAT MEAT! THE OWNER TOLD ME THAT HOW THE GOAT WAS $7 IBWHEN I TRY TO TELL HIM THAT IT WAS BONY ANDVI BROUGHT 2 PLATES. NOW THE CABBAGE IT WAS SO HARD WITH NO FLAVOR AND YOU COULDN'T IT EAT IT .. BUT I DID LOVE THE CORNBREAD!!!
Great place and Great Customer Service....loved the chicken...
Great food! Nice atmosphere. Did I mention the food is great?!
Old food microwaved my roti and oxtail it was so bad I don't know how they are open
This is one of the only Jamaican restaurants in the city. They are inconsistent with the curry chicken, but everything else is good. The staff is always warm and friendly. I go as much as possible. I don't like it when new, younger people are fixing the plates because they usually skimp on the original portions that the usual staff provides. However, if you mention it to them nicely, they add more food with no problem. I would recommend this place. Their service is fast and they always greet you with a smile.
The oxtails were seasoned good they just didn't let them cook long enough, same goes for the cabbage! Very flavorful though!!
Wonderful staff and the food is amazing! Another inspiring southern example of the faith we are all called to have! Just became one of my must visit spots every time I am in Albany!
Great service, very good food that was seasoned to perfection. A hidden gem.
Great food and customer service
Friendly staff. Hot food. Nice flavor. I haven't visited in awhile, but I had a nice experience. Spinach was seasoned and flavorful and fresh. Curried goat was good. Could have been a bit more tender. Rice and beans were good as well.
Nothing like Atlanta or South Florida Jamaican restaurants. Won't be going back.
Very friendly staff and delicious food!
Actually quite disappointed. The brown stew chicken did not taste authentic, the oxtail had no meat, the rice was not good. The plantains weren't bad and neither was the cornbread. But the rest of the meal was nothing like what I'm used too. I'm from Florida and I learned if I want good Jamaican food I'm just going to have to make that trip back to South florida. =(
My first time eating here I really enjoyed the food
Great jamaican restaurant with authentic taste
The food is as authentic as they come with a little soul on the side, loved the service as well.
Good..
You can't beat what they have for you. I love them.
good food
Food is authentic Jamaican food and tastes great. Prices are high but well worth it.
Service was excellent. Food was good. Could use more spice in the Jerk Chicken! Taste was good.
Food is great! I've tried almost everything on the menu.
BEST CURRY CHICKEN EVER!! sweet ladies too 😍
Hole in the wall ethnic restaurant. Everything it should be. Good solid food. Served cafeteria style. Warm inviting host. Good Jamaican.
Food is delicious needed a lil bit more for the price I had the oxtails but they were delicious
Cheaper than going to Jamaica! I just ate the curry goat and stewed chicken with cabbage and beans/rice. Damn good stuff and very friendly staff. Prices are about $20 a plate but still easier and cheaper than going to Jamaica!
Awesome Everytime I come
The best tasting Jamaican food in town
The food smells and looks amazing when you go in. The staff are quite friendly. The food left a lot to be desired. The oxtail was tough, it should fall off the bone. The flavor of the sauce for the oxtail was good. The cornbread was nice, it was thick like a cake and sweet. The Jamaican jerk chicken was pretty good but also tough. The cabbage had too much crunch to it and not enough flavor. The greens had a good flavor but too much crunch to them as well. Clean restaurant. If they could perfect the tenderness of the meat it would help.
The food was awesome remind me of home in Miami
Great food friendly staff
Great food great service I love this place
My first time going and i loved it!!! Never had goat meat and i can honestly say it was delicious. Planning on coming back for more
Take me back to Jamaica! No? Ok well this is the next best thing. Anytime I pass through Albany I have to stop in for the perfect jerk chicken, so delicious. Cabbage done so well, all of it is perfect, and they even have Jamaican drinks I never see anywhere else.
The food was very nice
Everything was really good. We decided to eat in and I think they thought we had to be related hiw they over filled our plates!!!
Good when they actually have the food you want. Patties and cocoa bread always sold out.
The food and service was excellent
Kind of a hard time rating this place. It’s not quite a 4 but not a 3 either. Everyone was very friendly here, staff and other customers. The jerk chicken had a nice smoked flavor and the jerk rub and a sauce tasted great. But the chicken was slightly over done and a little dry. The beans and rice also had great flavor but it was a little crunchy, so not quite done or not made with enough water. The cabbage, was good just how I like it, not mushy with a little crispness left. Though it could have used some heat, maybe some crushed red pepper or something. Now that I think about it, the jerk spice could be a bit hotter as well. The plantains let me down. They too were over cooked and dry. It was $13 for lunch. I will for sure be back as the flavor made up for the cooking.
Three stats because I enjoyed the conversation with the employee. But the beef Patty was so dry and hard as a brick, I almost broke my teeth. But I'm willing to give it another try.
